Texas-based company integrates business management software to perform accounting, fixed asset control, and budgeting and forecasting for its properties within its core Yardi Voyager platform
SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., Oct. 28, 2013 – American National Insurance Company (American National), a provider of a broad array of insurance and financial products, anticipates a successful collaboration with a trio of new Yardi® products. These products will support financial reporting, fixed asset management, and budgeting and forecasting for American National’s investment portfolio of commercial properties.
Yardi Voyager® will provide a unified platform for American National’s property management and accounting operations. “The corporate office utilized a Windows®-based product while fee managers used a Web-based product. This resulted in different views and reports. Voyager supports everyone on the same platform, allowing all parties to look at the same thing, no matter where they are when they log in, which will lead to greater efficiency,” said Clint Jenkins, real estate investment servicing manager for American National. “Connecting our sub-ledgers with our corporate ledger will help us prepare reports more quickly, with full drilldown capability, for a variety of constituents.”
American National will use Yardi Fixed Assets™ for physical and financial monitoring of its major property assets through their complete lifecycle, from purchase order to final disposition, using any of a variety of depreciation methods. “Integrating fixed asset monitoring with our core property management platform will let us link new assets with purchase orders and preserve the full history of asset depreciation with no extra effort,” Jenkins said.
American National will also adopt Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting™, an automated solution that delivers budget projections for revenue and expenses related to properties using “live” tenant lease data drawn from Yardi Voyager. “Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting will upgrade our long-range budgeting capabilities with detailed property data and eliminate the time and labor needed to export data from other programs or databases,” Jenkins said.
“Yardi is pleased to offer proven solutions and mature technology that will enhance American National’s property management,” said Terri Dowen, senior vice president of sales for Yardi.
