Hi Chris! Tell the readers a little bit about yourself.
I’m originally from Crescent City, California which is easy to find on the map. Just look for the very small town in the most top-left corner of the state. I moved to Santa Barbara after high school to attend UCSB, and I just celebrated my 4-year anniversary here at Yardi. My current position is Senior Technical Account Manager.
What do you like to do when not at work?
I like to stay active as much as possible. I spend time at the gym, play softball in the local city league twice a week, and love going on adventures with my girlfriend. There’s so much to do around here, it’s easy to stay active and have fun.
What do you like best about serving Yardi clients?
The relationships I build with clients makes my job the best. Each day I have an opportunity to build trust and help my clients. I truly find joy and happiness in helping others; working at Yardi gives me a lot of chances to do that every day.
What’s something you’ve recently learned about PHA?
I attended a training seminar titled ‘Effective Interviewing for Program Integrity’ which gave me the chance to talk with employees from PHAs from across the country. Many attendees were nice enough to describe to me how they interview clients for intake and how they do resident recertifications. This was a great opportunity for them to share their personal experiences working in this tough profession. I even conducted my first intake interview with a PHA applicant. It was a mock interview, but still very exciting! I’m thankful for the seminar and for the clients who taught me their procedures, tips and tricks. I’ll definitely be a better account manager in support of our RentCafe PHA clients as a result.

What is fun about your work day?
