Médecins Sans Frontières

Yardi-supported nonprofit Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) was established in 1971 with headquarters around the EU, including Paris, Barcelona, Athens, Brussels, Amsterdam and Geneva. The organization provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusions from healthcare. Its teams comprise thousands of health professionals, logistics, and administrative staff, most of whom are hired locally. Medical ethics and impartiality, independence and neutrality guide its actions.
MSF has a future focused on addressing the escalation of humanitarian crises, particularly in Sudan, which demands its full attention. It is also deeply committed to ongoing emergencies in regions such as Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen, where healthcare access is limited. Additionally, MSF continues to advocate for these underreported and forgotten crises, ensuring that those affected receive vital medical care.
“Our priority remains to be on the front lines where the need is greatest, regardless of media coverage or visibility,” said Angelly Cabrera, partnership manager for MSF UAE.
Funding from Yardi is not just critical; it’s transformative. It enables MSF to respond to crises, especially during the most challenging and unpredictable moments. The sustained support from Yardi allows MSF to plan and act quickly, ensuring that it is on the ground where and when they are needed most. This is not just about funding that makes a difference. It’s about the belief in MSF’s mission and trust that drives them forward. Yardi’s support is not just a contribution. It’s the power of collective action and the difference we make when we stand together.
“One of the greatest strengths of this partnership is the trust that Yardi has placed in our field teams, which is vital for maintaining the independence that defines MSF. This independence empowers us to prioritize medical care based on needs alone, without being influenced by political or financial interests, ensuring that we can act swiftly and impartially where crises emerge,” explained Cabrera.
#TeamYardi Dubai & MSF
Recently, the Yardi Dubai office had a visit from MSF’s regional executive directors, Dr. Khalid Elsheikh and Angelly Cabrera, in which they were presented with an award—a thank-you trophy, symbolizing Yardi’s support and partnership with them as part of our nonprofit support.
“We are deeply honored to have Yardi as an ally—a company that not only genuinely cares but also stands in solidarity with the vulnerable populations we serve,” said Cabrera.
She continued, “It is incredibly motivating for us to know that we have such committed partners who share our mission and values. Yardi’s dedication goes beyond financial support; it’s a testament to the compassion and humanity that drives our work. Being part of the MSF family means more than providing medical care—it’s about building a community of supporters who believe in the power of solidarity and action in times of crisis. We are truly grateful for Yardi’s unwavering support and partnership.”
Abdul Rahman from Gaza
One of the most impactful stories from MSF involves Abdul Rahman, a young boy from Gaza who was severely injured during the conflict. Despite the devastating circumstances, Abdul’s spirit remained strong, reminding MSF of the importance of continuing its work, even when the odds seem insurmountable. MSF arranged for him to be transferred to its hospital in Amman, Jordan, where he received long-term specialized care that wasn’t available in Gaza due to the destruction of health facilities. Over several months, Abdul Rahman underwent multiple surgeries and rehabilitation to recover from his injuries.
His journey reflects the resilience of the people MSF serves and the lifesaving work the teams do in some of the most challenging environments. This success story illustrates how MSF goes beyond emergency relief, providing comprehensive care and long-term support to those in need.
Volunteer Opportunities
Médecins Sans Frontières offers a few volunteer opportunities that primarily focus on administrative tasks, assisting with social media campaigns, and providing pro bono services in its current needs. However, one of the crucial and most impactful ways Yardi employees and community members can support MSF is by advocating and sharing its content and spreading awareness about its activities and crises they respond to, especially those that are often forgotten. Those interested in learning more about volunteering or how to get involved can visit the organization’s website to support its work. Remember that your voice is a powerful tool in raising awareness and mobilizing support for those in need.
“I want everyone at Yardi to know that each of you has been a vital part of this partnership. Every action we take, every life we touch, is possible because of your support. Every wound we heal, every drop of clean water we provide, and every child we rescue from malnutrition happens thanks to partnerships like this one. Your commitment allows us to continue our work on the front lines, bringing hope and lifesaving care to those who need it most,” noted Cabrera.
