Jesse McClintock

Jesse McClintock is a senior team leader for the Yardi consulting practices group. He manages the training program for Senior Living Suite clients. The Yardi motto drew him to join the company in 2015, and he continues to thrive on discovering opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and making positive changes.

A decade of dedication

“I’m looking forward to my 10-year Yardi anniversary in May,” said McClintock, who has enjoyed working in varied job roles at Yardi, most within the senior living team. His previous roles on the team include implementation project manager.

McClintock has a background in software project management, training and documentation. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in history and went to the University of Michigan for graduate school.

Since he joined Yardi, McClintock watched the senior living team grow, with new opportunities to contribute.

“In all my roles at Yardi, there have been opportunities to make improvements by creating new tools and improving workflows. And in the case of the training team, creating a new program.”

Every day is different

McClintock manages a team of training specialists, technical writers and an instructional designer. The team creates and maintains user guides, videos and Aspire content to help Senior Living Suite clients and their employees onboard and use our integrated senior living software.

“We also develop live-training materials and offer live training to individual clients and through monthly EHR and Voyager webinars for all senior living clients,” he said.

McClintock said the work has been fun and exciting. “We’re continually improving to help our clients and the larger senior living team.”

“Every day is different, too,” he said. “I provide training to clients and also help them access training and support materials.”

McClintock also helps plan and guide the many content projects for the senior living training team. Recently, he’s been collaborating with a very large client, developing an integrated elearning and live training program in Aspire.

“It’s a very exciting project. We’re learning a lot about building scalable solutions for different users,” he said.

Alignment of values & everyday experience

The Yardi motto and values resonated with McClintock in 2015 as they do today: “Take care of our clients, take care of our employees, take care of our communities, stay focused and grow.”

“I first learned about Yardi after returning home to California from Asia where I’d been living in monasteries in Burma and Nepal,” he said. He had worked a variety of software jobs in the Bay Area and left for five years to live in Asia.

“I was struck by the Yardi motto and values. Based on those, I knew Yardi would be a great place to work.”

Ten years later, he sees the alignment of values each day at work.

“I value the synchronicity between Yardi’s values and my day-to-day experience,” McClintock said. “For example, the environment is innovative, and over the years, I’ve felt I could build things and make positive changes.”

“The environment is also very positive,” he said.

In Santa Barbara, McClintock appreciates interacting and collaborating with a variety of teams including visiting teams from Pune, India.

McClintock also points to Yardi’s philanthropic giving, including supporting students at the University of California, Berkeley, and historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

“It reminds me we’re making a positive impact on the communities we live in.”

When McClintock is not at work, he enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and cycling with his family and friends. He’s gathered with other Yardi cyclists for rides around the Santa Barbara area.
