Just days after Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast area a year ago, Yardi Systems announced free temporary data hosting for self-hosting customers in the Louisiana and Mississippi areas. This service allowed customers to migrate data and applications from their in-house servers to a Yardi hosting center, enabling them to resume business operations immediately through a high-speed Internet connection.
One of those customers was the Christopher Homes housing agency. Approximately 9 months after Hurricane Katrina, the housing agency of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Christopher Homes, moved back into its original downtown offices with a fully operational property management system–Yardi Voyager™ with Application Service Provider (ASP) service.
