SANTA BARBARA, CA, October 29, 2007 — Yardi Systems, the global leader in asset and property management software, is pleased to announce that the Delaware County Housing Authority (DCHA) of Pennsylvania has selected Yardi Voyager iPHA and Affordable Housing to manage all elements of its public housing and affordable rental housing portfolios.
DCHA oversees more than 1,000 owned units and 3,000 Housing Choice Voucher clients, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credit units and several boutique programs such as Shelter Plus Care, Family Unification, and Supportive Housing.
The implementation of Yardi Voyager will support DCHA’s plans to maintain its existing portfolio while potentially adding service-enhanced senior living units and supporting expansion into new home ownership opportunities. “DCHA recognized Yardi as the leader in the property management software field. We knew some well-respected housing authorities and private property management firms had recently switched to Yardi,” said Lawrence E. Hartley, DCHA’s Executive Director. “We were aware of several competitors, but really only seriously considered Yardi.”
Voyager iPHA and Affordable Housing will provide DCHA with the ability to support a client base that includes both subsidized and market tenants. In addition, Voyager will assist DCHA staff with compliance, tracking and benchmarking issues. The selection of Voyager’s fully integrated, browser-based system represents a key step toward integrating all of DCHA’s property management software into one package and implementing property-based management and accounting–which will be a significant improvement for the housing authority.
“DCHA’s decision to implement Yardi Voyager and take full advantage of the system’s fully integrated offerings for public and affordable housing demonstrates their commitment to excellence, reducing costs and maximizing efficiencies to better serve their clients,” said Harvey Dickerson, Regional Sales Manager, Yardi Systems. “With Yardi’s leading technology, they will continue to see significant cost benefits as their portfolio grows and compliance regulations become more complex.”
