Articles highlight Yardi insights and accomplishments, including corporate growth and culture, and rental household data analysis
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Feb. 03, 2017 – The November/December 2016 issue of Multihousing Pro Magazine featured several articles about Yardi, including a profile of founder and president Anant Yardi and a market trend piece using illuminative RentCafe analytics.
A piece titled “Affluent Chose to Rent” dove into an interesting data analysis from the RentCafe ILS team. The study, which looks at U.S. Census Bureau data on income and rental versus home ownership rates, indicates that the number of high-income households electing to rent continues to increase. This trend will continue to impact Yardi clients in the years ahead.
In “Welcome to Paradise”, author Michael W. Rudy provides an overview of how and why Anant Yardi started Yardi Systems back in 1982. Rudy describes the evolution of the Yardi product line, from MS-DOS to software-as-a-service and the current trend toward role-based apps.
In addition to mentioning Mr. Yardi’s 2016 NAA Lifetime Achievement Award, the article touches on Yardi’s unique corporate ethos, including the creation of the Yardi Foundation, a charitable giving project that has provided funds to nearly 100 nonprofits in 35 communities globally.
