SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., April 16, 2009 – Yardi Systems, a leading developer of real estate investment and property management software, announced today that affordable housing provider National Community Renaissance (National CORE) has selected Yardi Voyager™ Affordable Housing to improve its reporting, compliance, and property management processes.
Prior to purchasing Yardi Voyager, National CORE utilized two separate property management systems to manage more than 70 properties. The systems produced redundant reports requiring time-consuming manual consolidation. With Yardi Voyager Affordable Housing, National CORE now draws data from across the entire organization into a single, centralized database, significantly reducing the time and effort required to consolidate reports and facilitating portfolio-wide oversight. Moreover, having fast access to all relevant information helps National CORE meet the strict government compliance standards required of affordable housing providers.
“Yardi Voyager helps us operate more efficiently because with Voyager we only need one product, one database, and one set of training requirements for our staff, instead of two,” said Joelle Greene, National CORE’s director of Community Assessment and Program Evaluation. “Centralizing our database also means we can prepare our Section 8, Tax Credit and other compliance reports much more quickly and with less effort.”
In addition, National CORE elected to take advantage of Yardi’s Application Service Provider (ASP) hosting. Yardi hosts the application and database, assuming the responsibility for network support and resources, system security, and business continuity, allowing National CORE to focus on its principal business.
National CORE also purchased Yardi Budgeting to automate the projection of expenses and income. This module greatly reduces the hours and labor required for the budgeting process.
“We are pleased that Yardi Voyager delivers the streamlined efficiency and the government-mandated compliance and reporting capabilities that National CORE needs to carry out its mission of providing high-quality affordable housing across the U.S.,” said Dave Kessler, Yardi vice president of Affordable Housing.
