Amsterdam – December 2010 – Yardi Systems, one of the leading developers of software for investment, asset and property management, announces that Sara Veldhuizen, associate director for strategy consultancy at Savills, has won the 3rd annual Yardi/VGM Young Talent Award, presented to a young professional who has distinguished him- or herself in the European real estate sector.
Sara’s predecessors were Jeroen Lokerse of Cushman & Wakefield in 2008 and Lonneke Wijnhoven, manager of design & development for Heijmans Vastgoed in 2009.
Sara and two fellow nominees-Rik Eertink (fund manager for ING REIM) and Paykar Pala (independent estate agent for property and commercial real estate)-were selected from six candidates who competed in a lively debate at The Provada Expo 2010 in June. Visitors to the Vastgoetmarkt website were then able to vote for the best of these three deserving candidates.
Richard Gerritsen (regional director of European sales for Yardi) and Ruud de Wit (editor in chief of Vastgoedmarkt) announced the name of the winner during the Provada Captains of Industry gala dinner on 20th November in the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
