Three experts will connect energy initiatives with improved business performance during panel discussion at multifamily industry event in April
SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., March 20, 2013— Yardi announced its participation in a session at the 2013 NAA Green Conference taking place in April that will illustrate how effective energy management can add value for property managers, investors and residents in the multifamily industry.
The session, “Green Building and Utility Management — Doing it Right Makes Sense,” will feature a wide-ranging discussion by three panelists about the value of LEED certification, tips for installing energy-efficient devices, the impact on properties of green planning and utility management, trends in efficient energy management, the role environmental practices play in consumers’ rental decisions, and other topics.
The panelists — William J. Greene III of Wood Partners, Manny Gonzalez of KTGY and David Woodward of CompassRock — are senior multifamily industry managers with extensive experience in executing utility management and green building strategies. Matt Miller, industry principal for Yardi Energy Solutions™, will serve as moderator.
“These three experts have a wealth of knowledge about how integrating green building into utility management programs pays dividends. They will show how smart green planning can make a real impact on multifamily property stakeholders’ bottom line while delivering value to residents and investors,” said Terri Dowen, senior vice president of sales for Yardi.
Several hundred multifamily property managers, developers and suppliers will gather in Baltimore for the 2013 NAA Green Conference, which is sponsored by the National Apartment Assn. The conference, April 15-17, will showcase environmentally conscious products and strategies that can save energy and money. The hour-long “Green Building and Utility Management — Doing it Right Makes Sense” session is scheduled for April 17.
